| Une autre CAT! |
Alors que vient de sortir le somptueux album de CAT POWER, le bien nommé "The Geatest", il n'est pas inutile de revenir sur l'album de CATHERINE FEENY, bientôt en visite à la Soundstation.
En effet, alors que le première confirme qu'elle est bien la figure de proue d'un mouvement que l'on pourrait qualifier d' "abstract folk", cette autre Américaine présente une voix tout aussi intéressante. Moins "barrée" que Chan Marshall, elle a plutôt la sagesse acidulée de Suzanne Vega. On pense aussi à Laura Veirs, autre féline au chant tantôt soyeux, tantôt acéré.
Une constante chez ces dames: un talent d'écriture indéniable  qui rend inusable un style musical qui, sans cette nécessaire composante, deviendrait vite poussiéreux.
